Community
The Mendelssohn Club has strong ties to the City of Albany and New York's Capital District. Since 1909 we have been performing throughout the area at numerous community events.
Albany's Tulip Fesitval
It is a tradition for the Mendelssohn Club to sing a set of songs on the Saturday of the Tulip Festival at the Washington Park Boat House, prior to the crowning of Tulip Queen and her Court.
College & Professional Sports Events
We frequently sing the National Anthem at sports events, including Union College Hockey, RPI Hockey, Siena College Basketball, and SUNY Albany Lacrosse.
Fund Raisers / Benefit Performances
We perform at fundraisers and benerfit performances for local churches and charities. Recently we have sung at St. Peter's Episcopal Church Tri-Centenial, the Voices of Hope concert at Delmar Methodist Church, and a fundraiser at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Delmar.
